Easter Sunday was the perfect day for brunch by the sea—so Martin and I headed to Surf’s Up to meet some friends and soak up the sunshine.
Our brunch crew—John, Darcy, Bonnie, and David—came ready for good food, big laughs, and even bigger toasts. We all kicked things off with a bright and bubbly Easter Tasty Bev (cheers to friendship and fresh starts!), and settled in for a lively, laughter-filled meal.
Cuban sandwiches were the special of the day, and most of the table couldn’t resist. Martin and I stuck with our favorite: the Chicken Avocado Salad—because when you find a good salad around here, you stick with it. (Though let’s be honest, we also ordered salty, crispy fries to keep things balanced.)
Surf’s Up sits right on the ocean, so we took a quick stroll down to the water’s edge. The humans dipped our toes in while Martin lingered back on the steps—he’s still not totally sold on water. He says it’s “suspiciously splashy.”
One more round of Tasty Bev, a few final laughs, and we called it an afternoon. Projects were waiting back home, but the good vibes are still lingering. Best of all? We’ve already made plans to do it all again on Cinco de Mayo—and this time, Martin’s got something up his sleeve…
